Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) problem-solving is necessary to be infused into the classroom. Nevertheless, criticism of underrepresented in STEM assessment an issue. In this study, we develop investigate psychometric evidence integrated STEM-based mathematical test. The product test was a essay that contains three scientific scenarios related environment every middle school grade. contents were engineering-based design using technology. Three experts filled sheet assess content validity, which analyzed validity index (CVI) intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). result revealed overall items valid reliable. construct examined Rasch analysis from data Grades 7–9 students Indonesia (n = 286). all prompting indicated fit with various difficulty levels acceptable discrimination value. four reported as misfit based on unweighted mean square recommendation for improvement emphasized language clarity aspect. inter-rater reliability also declared good.
